HOSAFE 2MB2G

by bluedodo » Mon Feb 06, 2017 9:14 pm

Hi I've been testing this camera and trying to get it to work with Sighthound. It works with the nasty software that comes with the camera. Sighthound can detect the camera as an ONVIF camera for configuring it, but when it tries to connect to the stream it fails. I can use VLC to connect to the stream using the rtsp://10.0.0.38:554/live0.264 address or even rtsp://10.0.0.38/live0.264

Any thoughts on what I can try to get this camera working with Sighthound?

We'd be glad to help get this camera working in Sighthound Video. If it's functional in VLC it should absolutely be working in our application. There are a few routes we can take to help determine what the problem may be -

* There is some analysis and capture functionality built into Sighthound Video that can locally record network traffic you can then send to our engineers which they may be able to use to discover and fix any incompatibilities.
* If you are comfortable with temporarily allowing access to your camera for an engineer to connect to they can directly access the feed and debug connection issues. This is the quicker/preferred solution if your scene is not sensitive/private.

If you'd like to pursue either of these please email [email protected] and we'd be glad to work with you. Email is preferred vs. the forums to protect your personal information.
