multiple export clips?

anyone else notice with version 4.0.1 that when a video clip gets created after a motion activated event , it creates about 7 clips for the one rule ... all pretty much the same vision ?

this creates 49meg of video to upload to dropbox instead of 7 meg..... on a slow ADSL connection , they can take 30 to 60 minutes to upload

i dont believe the old version did this as i never noticed dropbox struggling to sync

any suggestions ? email clips are all working well and only produce one or two email snapshopts

Sorry you're encountering this issue. We've only heard about this sort of issue from one other user in topic12664 but have been unable to reproduce until a few days ago. Unfortunately what we were finally able to reproduce does not occur reliably, though will hopefully will be enough for an engineer to make some headway.

If possible please navigate to the "rules" directory inside the SV data directory and copy the two files you find there with the rule's name you are having trouble with. Email those to [email protected] and let us know what camera you are using as well (model, and if you know the stream type you are using) and we'll see if that provides any new pointers.

If you attempt to create this rule from scratch, temporarily disabling the original either by unchecking the responses or setting the schedule, does the issue reproduce with the new rule?

i will do some testing my end aswell and get back to you if i manage to solve the issue

So I tried creating a new rule using "anywhere inside my region" and disabling my old rule and it only produced one clip ....good result

So I'm trying " inside my region " instead of " entering / exiting my region " as I think that's why I'm getting multiple clips ( it's saving one entering and exiting )
