4.1 problems

by sgh_aba » Sun Jan 15, 2017 7:21 pm

Ever since I upgraded to 4.0.1 (last week) only 2 of my cameras are saving recordings of motion. The other 4 cameras work fine but don't record anything. I've completely deleted the rules on these cameras and created new rules with very liberal settings 0 seconds, entire screen, any size, etc. and still no recording. Luckily I saved my 3.0.1 download and am reinstalling that.

Doesn't make much sense to pay $50 every year and get updates that make the product worse.

Steve

ps: I'm running the Windows version (Sighthound Pro) as I have 6 cameras.

Follow up. After downgrading to 3.0.2 all my cameras are now recording again.

Hello sgh_aba,

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue with two of your cameras. This is not typical and we'd definitely like to investigate further. If you have the time, please update to 4.0.1 again, reproduce this behavior, then send us a bug report by going to Help > Report a Problem so we can take a look at your logs. Be sure to include a link to this post and list the manufacturer and model numbers of your cameras.

Regards,

-Devin

Had a similar issue, didn't downgrade though - as I experienced this issue before upgrading to 4.0.1. Upgrading to 4.0.1 did not fix the issue. I have followed the steps to create a bug report. Would really appreciate this being fixed as soon as possible.

I am having the same issue. I did a bug report.

I also found that downgrading fixed it.

Another thing I tried was replacing/upgrading my video card from a Geforce 7950 to a GTX 660. It helped for a while, but started happening again.
