Remotely controlling Vitamin-d

by dale » Sun Aug 19, 2012 7:01 am

I have Vitamin d in my home running on a MacBook Pro, 10.6

I want to be able control it and to see the videos it records when I am at a remote location using my Macbook Air and also my iPad.

I suppose I could set up a VCN between the Air and the Pro, but I want to know if there exists a special app for the Macbook Air that will do this more easily. Is there anything designed specifically for Vitamin-d to do this?
Also is there anything for the iPad that is specifically designed with Vitamin d in mind?

If not, where can I find good instructions for doing this with VCN or ?
My system consists of
MacBook Pro running 10.6.8   Intel dual core 1.83
&
Mac Mini running 10.5.8 Power PC G4

To be controlled by a Macbook Air running 10.8  (dual core i5)

Thanks for any advice,
Dale

I use LogMeIn from Citrix which is free. It lets me control the computer running Vit D remotely from either my laptop or iPad.

Use air Video server along with the air video app.
