I just purchased the basic license last night and then set up a number of rules. Today, I'm noticing a ridiculous amount of false positives for a rule that is supposed to send an alert via email if it sees a person within a region (zone) that I set.
I'm getting false positives from the sun coming in and out of the clouds. I was getting this with the default motion detection software that came with the camera. I was not expecting such poor performance from this software. When reviewing the video it shows a yellow box around the entire viewing area of the camera that moves and shrinks with the light and shadows. I don't understand how Sighthound Video doesn't already filter out for situations where what is detected encompasses the ENTIRE screen. A person that size would have to be 50 feet wide! I know there are settings to filter for smaller objects like pets, but Sighthound should be filtering out 50 ft wide "people" as well. Hopefully this gets fixed in subsequent releases. I'm very surprised this is not something that is already built in.
