Avacom H5080W

by DanLins » Fri Jun 10, 2016 10:01 pm

Recognizes the IP camera, but using the login/pw credentials currently working for the Avacom video program for the camera, it reports it "could not retrieve camera configuration. Please insure your user account has the correct permissions and try again." (I'm using the same authentication credentials for both)

I am not obtaining IP address from DHCP.

Camera works (ok) in Avacoms video program, but it is kludgy compared to Sighthound, and I would like to switch over. Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,

Dan

Hello DansLins,

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Unfortunately there is a bug in which a small number of cameras are unable to connect via ONVIF. We are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it for the next update. In the meantime you should be able to manually add the camera (Manually specific the address of a network camera). If you can send us a bug report after attempting to connect the camera I should be able to find the stream information needed to connect this camera. You can send a bug report by going to Help > Report a Problem. Be sure to include a link to this post so we know it is you.

Regards,

-Devin

Got the camera to work with both iSpy and BlueIris. It also works within Google Chrome, using Avacom software.
Dropped back to version 2.5.1, still no good. If anyone out there is running Sighthound with this camera, can you please let me know your settings?

Thanks,

Dan
