Video Storage

by starratt » Fri Jun 03, 2016 2:18 pm

I have been using Sighthound for over a year and I recently started having a problem with Sighthound not finding the video storage when I restart my Mac. I tried moving the video to a different drive but this did not change anything. I thought I would delete all video and then select the drive I want to use, but when I select the Delete Existing Video option I get an error saying I must select a different folder location to move the video to. I am also getting messages that my video is stored on a remote device. It is actually stored on a locally attached USB3 drive. How do I get this cleared up so I can just start over with a new archive folder?

Sorry, the video archive is on a Thunderbolt attached drive.

Hello starratt,

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. The recent 3.X updates have some major changes in the way the app is run which may be causing this issue in your specific case. Please send us a bug report the next time this happens by going to Help > Report a Problem so we can investigate your logs. Be sure to include a link to this forum post so we know it is you.

Once you've sent the report I'd recommend reverting to version 2.5.1 to see if the 3.X upgrade caused this behavior. You can grab 2.5.1 at https://www.sighthound.com/account/ by clicking the "Looking for a previous version?" text.

Regards,

-Devin
