Cannot Connect

by lmoruzzi » Sun May 22, 2016 10:07 am

Hi - I am using Tenvis TH692 cameras - I have them set up on my network and have been using the Tenvis software (all working wirelessly) to view remotely etc.

I would like to use Sighthound software as it appears vastly superior, I downloaded the free version to try with one camera first before buying a Pro License. However when I try an connect to one of the cameras I am just told 'Could not connect'. I have tried manually entering the IP address (as the cameras do not appear in the list) but I am still told 'Could not connect'. I also tried using a wired connection for the camera incase it was the wireless connection but this made no difference.

Do you have any ideas how to fix this / what might cause the problem? I would like to see that the software will work before purchasing a Pro License.

Thanks

don't quote me on this but sometime before version 3 the removed remote app access on the free version. I'm not 100% of this so you need confirmation..

but make sure you have an external forwarding port set up for sight hound on your router then point the app to the ST server and the correct port

Hello lmoruzzi,

Cino72 is correct in that remote access is now a paid-only feature. If you would like a trial please PM me your Sighthound Account email address or email [email protected].

Regards,

-Devin
