Create a new folder each days captured
Many similar applications automatically create a new folder each day for captured footage. This helps to maanage files rather then having thousand of files grouped together.

Last time I looked, there is a folder for each camera and within those folders are folders for each day. But since SightHound handles all file manipulations there is really no need to go messing with them. (Yes, I have messed with them, but that is just because I like messing with the computer; as far as keeping the videos straight, SightHound does it all for me!)
In the Search mode, you view each day separately and can limit the list to just one camera or one rule for that day. I find that sometimes I wish the Search mode would allow me to select more than one camera, but not all of them, or select multiple rules across multiple cameras, but that is kind of the opposite of what you are asking.
