Google drive folder

by jpark006 » Wed May 04, 2016 11:40 am

I've searched here and got mixed answers. I'm currently trying to relocate the saving locations of the recorded videos on a google drive folder which is located on my c drive. When I do, I get an error, "relocation failed". I've tried using both move the existing clips (which there are none of) and deleting the existing videos. I tried this on a test basis on another computer and it worked. (thus I was able to view clips that were saved from the internet, albeit it was vitamind D in lieu of the sighthound program)

Can you confirm why the relocating the saving directory to my google folder on my c drive is not working?

Hello jpark006,

I'm sorry to hear you encountered this issue. We've had a small number of users report this issue. The latest updates of Sighthound Video included the new run as a service feature which allows Sighthound to run at system startup. Because Sighthound Video is now launched outside of your Windows User, it can have trouble moving clips to folders that have locked permissions, which it turns out Google Drive sometimes does. The solution to this problem is to change the permissions on your Google Drive folder and giving the SYSTEM user full access. This website has instructions on how to change these settings: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/lib ... 54344.aspx

If you still are unable to move video to this location please send us a bug report by going to Help > Report a Problem so we can take a look at your logs. Be sure to include a link to this post so we know it is you.

Regards,

-Devin

you should really have a part of the install script this. There can be a tick box about using google drive and it implements this ..
