new license purchase

by jpark006 » Mon Apr 25, 2016 10:23 am

Hi - I installed a starter version of vitamind D yesterday and then purchased the $250 license last night. However, I have yet to receive a email with the decode/encryption file. Does anybody know how long it takes? I see that my credit card has the charge shown. Thanks.

Hello jpark006,

Thank you for your purchase and I'm sorry to hear you have not yet activated your license. Any Sighthound Video licenses you purchase will be linked to your Sighthound Account and can be activated in the application without the need to download any special license files. To activate your license you will need to do the following:

* Download Sighthound Video (https://www.sighthound.com/account/)
* Log in to your Sighthound Account on the first launch
* Go to Help > Show License Information
* Select the license from the list
* Click Activate

If you do not see any licenses or you are unable to complete these steps for any reason, please send us a bug report. You can send a bug report by going to Help > Report a Problem. Be sure to include a link to this forum post so we know it is you.

Regards,

-Devin

Is the soundhound same as "Vitamin D" software? My cameras are older version of foscam and I purchased the software license through Vitamin D.

Hello jpark006,

Vitamin D Video ended development and support several years ago and Sighthound improved and relaunched the software under the new name Sighthound Video. We have since added several fixes and new features which can all be see at https://www.sighthound.com/support/release-notes.

If your cameras previously connected in Vitamin D Video they should be able to connect in Sighthound Video. If you are having any troubles with setup please send us a bug report by going to Help > Report a Problem and include the manufacturer and model numbers of your cameras. Also be sure to include a link to this forum post so we know it is you.

Regards,

-Devin
