Samsung Galaxie 5 phone & iMac and Safari

by wberezo » Sun Mar 20, 2016 11:54 am

I finally upgraded the Windows host computer from Sighthound Ver 2.5 to 3.0.2 and upgraded our iPhones 4 to Ver 1.2. I turned the phones off and back on before login on the iPhones. (Devin's suggestion on a previous phone connection problem.) These are working great and worked the first time out of the upgrades. I was really pleased. Thanks Sighthound. Good job!

However ...

My Brother's Samsung Galaxie 5 phone will not play clips or show live feed. We can see the first frame of clips, but it won't load or play either clips or live feed. I had this same problem on my Windows laptop for the remote connection, but resolved it by updating to Adobe Flash Player 21.0.0.182. I'd like to get the Galaxie 5 working. Any ideas? When I described the problem, a guy at the apple store suggested we try VCL Video Player (available for Win, Mac, iOS, and Android). Any ideas?

Furthermore ...

iMac Mid-2011 running OS X 10.9.5 and Safari Ver 9.0.3 and Quick Time Player Ver 10.3 has same problem with clips and live feed. But comes up with the message "The video could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported." Clips show first frame with play button and proceed to this message upon pressing button. Also repeatedly requests login to Sighthound for live feed. iMac works fine using Firefox 45.0 and Flash Player 21.0.0.182 and gets me thru the security. Remote Login gives a message about an invalid site cert for my site and asks if I want to get a cert or make an exception. I made an exception - not really knowing where to go with this. What suggestions do you have to get Safari to play nicely with Sighthound on the iMac?
