Maginon IPC-25HD

Hi guys,

I recently purchased 2x Maginon IPC-25HD IP cameras.
By default, I used with a a cloud base solution "Supra Space" but was not too happy with the functionality.

So I tested and finally purchased Sighthound.
I could add both cameras with the generic IPCAM Profile with "videostream.cgi" as stream path.

However, the quality of the stream is definitely not HD. The cameras should be able to support a 1280x720 stream (as they do with Supra Space) but in Sighthound it seams to be more VGA or worse...

I hope that somebody could help me to get those cameras working with HD Video when using Sighthound.

Hello gmoeller,

It sounds like your camera settings in Sighthound may be set to a lower resolution than your camera is producing. This article has details on how to set Sighthound to match the resolution your camera is streaming at: https://www.sighthound.com/support/vide ... resolution

If you have "Match Source" selected for the resolution and you are still seeing a very low quality image, please send us a bug report by going to Help > Report a Problem.

Hi Devin,

thanks for the quick response.

I have tried the topics in the mentioned article but this did not help.
"Match Source" I have tried as well - no Change to the Display image and no change to the resolution of the recorded video.

So I will file a bug report... Or any other idea I could try?

Use .flv instead of .cgi

Takes a while to load but works perfectly
