Saving edited clips

by malcolmj » Mon Mar 07, 2016 5:50 am

I know that you can save a short clip (2 minutes) from a long length of temporary video. How can I save a similar short sub-clip from an excessively long video clip (sometimes over 5 hours)? At night in poor lighting Sighthound appears to ignore the set rules and record excessively long video clips.

Hello malcolmj,

I'm sorry to hear you're having this trouble with false detections at night. If you could send [email protected] an example image or video of this false detection we'd be happy to see if there are any recommendations we can give to improve the accuracy.

5 hours is extremely long for a single event. You could select a different filter or rule in the search view which does not recognize this 5 hour event, then select the time you wish to export, right-click, and select Export clip. This should create a 2 minute clip around the frame you're viewing.

Regards,

-Devin
