Connection issue

by Emerson » Tue Jan 05, 2016 5:06 pm

I have been using linux bash scripts and xml files to activate or deactivate cameras using http post since version 2. On upgrade to versions 3.0 and 3.01 these scripts no longer work, when reverting back to version 2.51 i am able to run these scripts with no problem, can you help?

More Information on above post.
Bash Script is as follows
Code: Select all
#!/bin/bash
curl --user REMOTE_USER_NAME:PASSWORD --header 'Content-Type: application/xml' -X POST -d@PATH_TO_XML_FILE/XML_FILE.xml 'http://SIGHTHOUND_SERVER_IP:PORT/xmlrpc/'

XML File is as follows.

Code: Select all
<?xml version="1.0"?><methodCall>
<methodName>enableCamera</methodName>
<params>
<param>
<value>
<string>Outside</string>
</value>
</param>
<param>
<value>
<boolean>1</boolean>
</value>
</param>
</params>
</methodCall>

Using the above the script will turn on the camera labeled "Outside" in Sighthound

Hi Emerson,

Sighthound 3.0 and above utilize https rather than http.
