Amcrest?

by Max&Leo » Wed Dec 02, 2015 5:50 pm

Is anyone successfully using the Amcrest cameras? Is there Sighthound support for these?

I was able to get it to work using the information found on the following Amcrest support page.

https://amcrest.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/206813947-RTSP-Stream-URLs-for-HD-CVI-DVRs-1080P-HD-CVI-

The exact format I used in the streampath field was: cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0

The full path shown below the streampath field should be as follows:
rstp://cameraipaddress:rstpport#/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0

Hope this helps!

Amcrest has reported that the following cameras should also work with that URL:

IP2M-841
IPM-721
IP2M-842
IPM-722

If anyone is able to confirm that their model connects with this URL please let us know and we'll add it to the next update of Sighthound Video.

Bumping this back up. I got it to work for one camera a while ago, but now I am adding more Amcrest cameras and I can't connect.

Can Amcrest be added to the officially supported list? Amcrest IP2M-841 ProHD 1080P works great so far in Sighthound. It was located via ONVIF without any issues.
