I noticed the problem often so I wanted to test it out today since I knew the FedEx guy was coming to drop off a box. I turned HikVision Security Camera's Motion-Detection-Recording On to compare with SightHound's clip. And sure enough, SightHound missed the FedEx driving up to my curb and the guy coming out of the Van and to my house. The only recording I got was FedEx exiting and entering the Van and leaving. While on the other hand, HikVision recorded both the Entry and Exiting.
I have the rule set for
"Moving objects that are: Anywhere"
and
"Include objects visible longer than: 0 seconds".
I find this to be a major flaw because if we were talking about a burglur, I would have totally missed his face. Luckily the FedEx guy did reverse into my driveway and I could clearly see the license plate.

I'm sorry to hear you had this missed detection. The videos you attached did not contain the FedEX man or van. Were these meant to show the scene? I did notice by the title "People inside my region" that the rule used for these videos is looking only for people that are inside of a region that you drew. If this was the rule you were using I wouldn't expect that Sighthound would pick up the van, though it should have detected the FedEx man if he was within your region. Could you send us an image showing the region you are using?
