I installed Sighthound with a basic license on my Mac Mini running OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) to monitor the feed from two Hikvision cameras mounted on the exterior of my apartment building. Sighthound did a solid job of identifying events I configured and recording the associated video, once I realized I had to disable the power save features on OS X to keep the machine from going to sleep for hours at a time. The preferences are set to keep 48 hours of video regardless of events. The Sighthound timeline was peppered daily with 10s-100s of events on both cameras.
I recently installed OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) and following the reboot demanded by that install, Sighthound no longer indicates in the timeline that video has been archived. There is no indication that events have been detected on either camera. The video feeds display fine in the camera view. Interestingly, there are two slivers of green (archived video not associated with an event) over the past three days concurrent with me spending time troubleshooting this. This may coincide with the time I have the Sighthound application open, possibly implying that Sighthound's detection and archiving functions are only working when the application is open (and that whatever background service does this magic when the app is closed is not working?). There are 9 Sighthound processes running whether I have the application open or not.
Thanks in advance for any help.
