Just built up a NUC system with Windows10 and Sighthound runs fine, but I would like it to auto-start on power-up.
I read these instructions: https://www.sighthound.com/support/runn ... r-computer
however despite being posted in March 2015, the only cover up through Windows XP.
Nonetheless, I was able to follow that general idea. It's harder to find the startup folder on Windows 10 and I found these instructions on how to do that: http://www.softwareok.com/?seite=faq-Wi ... =28#Image1
However it still doesn't work. When I restart the machine, the following window appears "The program can't start because MSVCR71.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem". And so it wont auto-start. Of course if i start it manually, everything runs fine. (i tried both startup folders - the user specific one, and the common one - same result)
So if anyone has figured out how to get sighthound to auto-start with Windows10 please let us all know.
Note to Sighthound: This is a really important capability. One wants to have small, lower power NUC-like machines w/o monitors and keyboards and they have to come back up after power outages and moving the plugs and what not.
thanks everyone
Matt
