Handle Sighthound in LAN

by wickey » Wed Aug 19, 2015 9:23 am

Hi,

Can you please explain how to track movements captured by camera locally. I would like to get information below.

Camera one captured person/other at <date and time>
Camera two captured person/other at <date and time>

Can Sighthound broadcast data to LAN. Do you have JSON RPC call or any telnet commands to capture those data?

Please help...!!

Hi wickey,

There isn't a public API at the moment but we hope to add this at some point in the future. In the meantime the only way to track your detections is through the clips and other responses generated by rules that you set up. I'm unsure of the specifics of what you are trying to accomplish but you may find the "Send IFTTT Trigger" and "Run the Command" responses useful:

Hi,

Thank you for the quick reply. How about the cloud vision API? Do we have to upload images to your cloud? How it will integrate with sighthound installed in my home?

Hi wickey,

Sighthound Cloud is separate from the consumer version of Sighthound Video and is computer vision API for developers. Please see this page for documentation: https://www.sighthound.com/products/cloud/documentation
