This seems to be missing. Every surveillance app and home automation app that allows you to set schedules for events/rules/etc always allows you to set end points based on sunrise or sunset +- x amount of time.
Several of the camera sites aren't suitable for the current algorithm. I have hundreds of false alerts an hour at night even though there's no human or anything like a human in the videos. Several of the cameras which have a lot of grain in the image at night, sighthound is detecting humans and drawing a yellow box around the entire camera i.e. it's detecting the entire image as noise.
My video surveillance app is able to see through this noise and still only record when there's actually motion. No big deal. I'm sure you'll improve the algorithm soon. But it would be nice to turn off the rule based on when it actually gets light or dark.
