Arm and disarm cameras from external alarm input.....

by sorka » Sun Aug 09, 2015 6:49 pm

OK, so there are some annoying limitations but most of them I can live with or work around. However, unless I can arm and disarm the cameras from an external input somehow, that would be a deal breaker.

If there is ANY way to do it externally, I can interface with that. Any http request would do just fine. I can send those all day long from my home automation system.

Hi sorka,

We do not currently have a public API or any officially supported method of turning cameras on/off externally, aside from the remote access web server. A few users in the Hacker's Corner listed methods of enabling cameras from the command line which may or may not help you achieve your desired setup: topic11653

Thanks. I'll check those out. This is pretty much a must for me to pop for the pro license.
