Problem Foscam FI9803P *NOT CONNECTED*

by marcogovoni » Sun Jul 26, 2015 5:35 am

Hi, I've just upgraded my account to connect up to six cameras. But one of this, a Foscam FI9803P doesn't work. I can see video in my browser (username and password are correct) but when I try to add cam to SightHound, system says "Could not connect camera"

Can someone help me?
Thank you

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I got the same problem with my TP link camera.
Was working fine with rtsp on earlier versions but with 2.5 I get "Could not connect".
URL and user/pass is fine. Can watch the stream in VLC.

@ marcogovoni - I'm sorry to hear you're having troubles connecting to this camera. If you turn off all other cameras will this one connect? If so, you may be experiencing network congestion.
Are you using the default username:password of admin:<blank>? If so, please create a custom admin user for the camera and try connecting. We have a couple of users report issues connecting their Foscam cameras in Sighthound with this default username and password.

@ Jepsh - We have a small number of users report similar issues with the latest update. One user reported success after editing the camera and reconfiguring it using UPnP. If your camera supports UPnP I'd recommend trying this. Our engineers are currently hard at work on resolving this issue. In the meantime if you'd like to revert to the previous version of Sighthound you can do so at https://www.sighthound.com/account by clicking "looking for a previous version?" under the "Download Sighthound Video" section.

Regards,

-Devin
