Save image to file

by markn62 » Mon Jun 22, 2015 1:35 pm

I know this has been mentioned before but I 2nd the motion. Be nice if, upon motion trigger that, Sighthound would save an image to file so emailing to the iMessage service wasn't the only way to get an image onto the iPhone notification screen. iMessage is slow and unreliable in my area. Would prefer to send an image file by having Sighthound execute Curl to send msg/image to the Boxcar app. Makes for quicker review of notices without having to drill into Sighthound and watch a video in every instance.

In the meantime, is there a way for Sighthound to email as a cc: or bcc: without going through an intermediary email server like Google then forwarding it? iMessages come in with my wife's email address and the email account name so Sighthound messages are mixing with general conversation between us. Cc'ing an MMS message to both of us would prevent this. Or sending as two emails, not as a group email.

Just thinking more on this, perhaps an even better solution would be for Sighthound to send an image to the Sighthound mobile app that would show on the iPhone notification screen so I wouldn't have to use Curl & Boxcar. If the notification would show an image instead of just a txt msg, and it's just the mailman, I wouldn't have to view the video. If it's someone I don't recognize I would then load the app and review the video for better context. The first I can do while driving, the second I can't without pulling over.
