Lorex LNB3153B 1080p Weatherproof HD IP Camera

Greetings,

I am trying out Sighthound Video, but I cannot get the above Lorex camera to connect.

The connection information is correct as I am able to connect to the said camera with other surveillance software. With VLC, it can connect with rtsp://<local_ip_address>:554. Blue Iris connects with the following video path: /cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0&unicast=true&proto=Onvif.

I've tried getting Sighthound to use the same settings, but it simply displays the message: Could not connect. Any ideas?

Perhaps try the settings for the Lorex LNB2153B camera?

Hi newb1,

The stream path used in VLC should work with Sighthound Video. When you enter this url into Sighthound Video it should look like:

Protocol: rtsp
Port: <leave empty>
Stream Path: /

I've attached an image of how this should look once entered. The 554 is the default port for rtsp so you do not need to enter it.

Are you viewing this camera with any other software while attempting to connect it with Sighthound Video? Some cameras will not allow multiple connections at once.

If the above doesn't work I'd be happy to take a look at your logs for anything unusual. To submit your logs, go to Help > Report a Problem and be sure to include a link to this post.

Tony, it was one of the first things I tried.

Devin, I have four of these cameras and so far have been unsuccessful in connecting them. The cameras allow 10 simultaneous connections, but I went ahead and disabled all software (including the Lorex NVR) and was still unsuccessful using your method. I went ahead and submitted a bug report.

Edit: Sorry, I didn't see a link from the bug report to share. I would be interested in viewing the logs myself. Can you point me to where they are located?

I am trying to get the Lorex LNE3142 to work which I would have thought to be the same setup. So far no luck though and I would think that the latest build would have support. Do you happen to have any point of configuration that you could provide?
