Sighthound detects my dog and cat as people

Hi,

I'm testing out sighthound and generally I like it but ... your demo videos show it differentiating between dogs and people. Sadly that is not my experience. It seems to always detect my pets as people. I expected to work like the demo on the site and filter out the pets. I can sort of see it detecting the dog (80 lbs Labrador) but detecting the cat (8 lbs) seems ridiculous. If it doesn't detect the pets differently than people that no better than some of the free software out there. Please help ...

Hi Kent,

When reviewing your clips do you have a rule selected that only looks for people? The default filter when going to the search view is "Any Camera - All Objects" which will show clips of all moving objects and people. Objects will appear with a green box around them and people will have a yellow box.

If you see yellow boxes around the animals frequently we may be able to reduce or eliminate false detection by moving the camera angle and/or configuring the rule. I'd be happy to give my suggestions if you could submit a screenshot of a false detection. If you do not wish to share the image over these public forums you can email me at [email protected].

I was using a rule that looks only for people. The Dog and Cat have yellow boxes around them. I'll do some tweaking and then if that does not work I'll post a scree shot.
