Remote Address?

Remote Address?
How do I find the remote address for the iOS app and other outside browsers? The Sighthound Preferences/Remote Access says "Attempting to connect" in the External Address field. I have opened the Port on my router and I can see the cameras in another app, so I know I can access them. Is the default port 8848 shown in the prefs ok to use?
