No Alerts Windows 7/Android 4.4.4

I've suddenly stopped getting alerts. I have received alerts on my Note Edge before, but a couple of days ago I noticed they stopped coming in. I verified that I still have rules that send a mobile app notification, and I can see my cameras on the Note Edge. When I go to Alerts on the mobile device, I see 'There are no new alerts'.

The only recent change is lowering the clips and temporary video storage down to 50 GB. I have restarted both the server and the phone to no avail.

Any suggestions on what to try next?

This seems to be on the Windows side...I just changed a rule to also send an email and triggered the alert. No email was sent.

Is there a log file to look at for clues? I can't find one in the program directory.

Hi AO!,

I'm sorry you're experiencing trouble with push notifications. Have you ever disabled notifications for Sighthound Video on your Android device from either within the application or within the Android settings?

If you'd like to submit a bug report from within the desktop software from "Help->Report a Problem..." we'd be glad to take a look at your logs. You can certainly browse the logs yourself, they are within Sighthound Video's data directory, though they're intended for the developers rather than end users, so I'm not sure how useful you will find them to be.

I'm not sure that it would help, depending on the source of the problem, but you might also consider uninstalling and re-installing the Android application.

Update - After investigating logs, it appears that I lost the ability to issue alerts after a Windows update. I was going to take care of it but other things got in the way. Then, after a new Windows update, I started receiving alerts again...go figure!
