Dewarp for 360 degree cameras

by jpeley » Sat Nov 15, 2014 6:10 pm

Hi,

I'm considering getting a few 360 degree camera like the Axis M3027-PVE. Some have native dewarp capability, but it would be great to have that built into Sighthound. Each dewarp section could be treated like another camera.

Has this been considered as a feature?

Thanks,
-john

I have used multiple dewarped views on my ipad and iphone using an ios app called LiveCams Pro. It allows you to easily configure different channels for each stream on the camera. In the setup section you just list the channel number of the stream you want to view. I think my Axis M3007 has 6 dewarped views available, two panoramic views and then the 4 quadrants.

I never use the dewarped views anymore now that I'm used to the 360 view. These are great cameras for using as motion detectors because they cover an entire room. I'm setting more up this week for inside monitoring and motion sensing, then I will have custom alarm sounds made within SH that will go off when motion is detected.
