Remote access issue

by mzn50 » Fri Sep 05, 2014 6:26 am

I recently had an issue where I was not able to remotely access. I had to go in the app setting to refresh the password and then was able to access clips and alerts from any device.

Recently.. I had to do this daily...
Now.. Past 2 days.. Refreshing the password has not helped.. I have no access..

anyone else experiencing this issue ?

Thx

There is a known bug in the iOS app which doesn't allow special characters in user name or password.

If not that can you say which devices (iOS, Android, web), which OS version and, if web, which browser.

Thanks,

Hi mzn,

When the iOS app stops working can you still view the remote access connection by visiting the local address on the machine running Sighthound Video?

Is Sighthound Video automatically opening an external port in your router, or did you configure that manually?

When you mention that rebooting Sighthound does not fix the issue are you turning off all cameras before exiting the user interface? If cameras are still running Sighthound Video will continue to run in the background to continue recording video and hosting remote access functionality. To fully quit Sighthound you will need to turn off all cameras before closing the application.

Best,
