Clip Search Organization & Additive Rules

by johnesher » Sun Aug 10, 2014 5:53 pm

Having used the demo for 5 days now, I'd like to know if I'm missing the following features or perhaps make them feature requests for future releases.

1. In the Search view, is there anyway to organize the rules in the Look for: box? For instance, I've kept the default "Any object in …" rule to save, but don't need to see that at/near the top when I never search that rule. I'd like to get my user defined searches at/near the top.

2. Is there anyway to have two (or more) rules apply to a clip search? For instance, the program sometimes defines a blowing flag as a person or always as an unknown object. I can "mask" out the flag using the defined area, but then I need to apply that alongside the people moving rule.

The rules in the look for box are currently listed alphabetically, so you could rename rules to appear before others. We'll look into better organization and selection of rules in the future.

For your rule it sounds like you want to draw a box around the flag and choose "outside" as the region type. This will then only fire for objects that are ever outside of the given region and not for those contained within for their lifetime. This does respect the any/person/object selection as well.
