Couple of Ideas

Detect Cars in Area
I have a camera pointed down my drive and the software detects people fine, but not cars. If I set to Unknown or All then I get alarms on every little thing

Custom "Ignore objects smaller than" setting

At a close distance, cats are large enough to register bigger than the setting

Regional "Ignore Objects.."
Closer to the camera ignore larger pixels, but further away make the setting smaller.

The regional option sounds really useful. At the moment SightHound it is a compromise to choose a minimum object size setting. It would also make sense if a maximum object size setting could be chosen, as sometimes I get false triggers from the camera switching from day to night mode, or from lens flare at night from car headlamps, where the 'object' being detected is almost the entire frame.

Thinking about it, the regional size setting could be automated if Sighthound understood perspective. If there was a mechanism when setting the camera up to draw perspective lines on the image so that the vanishing point could be inferred, then that would remove the need to define zones.
