Extend Recording Time

I have a camera that is setup at an angle that people who enter the frame could walk out of the frame before entering it again. Once they enter and leave that clip ends then I have to open a new clip once they reenter the frame. I'd like some functionality to have control over the pre and post record times that way we can have one fluid video.

This would greatly help me figure out how long they were out of the frame while watching. For example, I'm monitoring my driveway but not the garage. When someone walks on my driveway they get close to the garage before turning back into the camera's view. I'd like one continuous video clip of the events.

I hope I was able to articulate that in a way in which could be understood.

I want this feature too. I would like to be able set it save 5 seconds before movement detection and 30 seconds after movement stops. I have large amounts of disk space and would also like the option to have continuous recording on certain cameras on my system. Right now I have to rely on the SD card in each camera to save continuous recordings which works but requires me to use the camera vendor's terrible/unreliable app to review.

it would be great if SH could concatenate clips generated within x number of seconds of one another. Just walking behind a post or a car causes a new clip to be generated.
