Save rule video to local file ,..

If i save a video from a rule ,ie objects in specific area that ive set up notifications for,to local file (desktop folder) will sighthound access it as normal,as im now saving 2 hd streams to ext 1tb hdd and i think it may be easier for the system to serve me up rule clips over my mobile phone direct from comp. hdd(desktop folder) rather than having to pull it off ext hdd against 2 hd streams 'going the other way' for want of better phrase...
hdd is not using extension cable, fyi
If i recieve a notification i need the 'rule clip' to be availabe over the air asap for security reasons,if you catch my drift...
