Connect to CCTV system SAM-1331

by Chema » Mon Apr 28, 2014 1:18 pm

Hello!
We recently bought a pack of two licenses and works well with USB and Firewire cameras.
At home we also have a CCTV system with 4 cameras connected to a D-Lite SAM-1331. We would like to integrate this system Sighthound buying higher license. The problem is when trying to connect this device.
We have the IP and port but do not know the "path"
Has anyone managed to connect this equipment with Sighthound?. Could you guide us?

Hi Chema,

Glad to hear you're enjoying Sighthound Video!

It appears that the SAM-1331 is a self-contained analog video system that does not have functionality to expose any video streams over a network. The only manual I could find wasn't in english, but it appears to confirm that. I'm afraid that means this system cannot be used by Sighthound Video (or any other third party application).

Hi ryan. Thanks for your quick response.
This device is network accessible in both local and remote. With the IP and port we connect with browser. In addition we use the app, SmartPPS to place with computer control and remote viewing with EvoPlus. Then I think you can access the streaming video from third parties.
Any idea?

Hi Chema,

If you have direct video URLs for the individual cameras that work in other media players please let me know and we can help you configure them in Sighthound Video. I'm afraid that the manual doesn't provide this, and I can't find any information on this elsewhere online. You may need to contact the manufacturer and ask if it is possible to view the streams from third party applications.

Best,
- ryan
