Push to my FTP and Web Server?

by CAMhoung » Tue Apr 15, 2014 4:53 pm

I'm new here so please for give me. I'm using the software and I see the videos are stored locally to my computer. Is there a way I can automatically push them to my web server via my FTP Client? I'd like to have an "off-site' back up of the files sent to my web server as soon as they are saved to my local computer.

Do you have this option and/or know of a macro type software that could do this?

Thanks!

Hi CAMhoung,

Licensed editions of the software have an FTP export and local folder export rule responses that will automatically back up matching clips to a target location.

For more details please see these articles:

I purchased the software and have configured the FTP option. I want the files to be automatically sent after they are created. I do not want to have any user interaction with the software.

Your guide states the following:

"FTP export
(Basic and Pro editions only). Select the check box called My FTP server to mark the clip to be uploaded to an FTP site of your choice."

I do not want to "check a box called My FTP server and mark the clip to be uploaded..." I want the clip to automatically sent to my FTP after it has been created.

Is this possible?

Thanks.

The FTP configuration only needs to be done once for a rule. Once you have configured the FTP response for that rule, all clips matching that rule from that point forward will be uploaded to the FTP server.

Once you have enabled a response for a rule, it will automatically trigger for every matching event. There is no further user interaction. As a simple example, try enabling the "Play a sound" response. You click the check box to enable it one time, and the sound will trigger on every event that follows.

Hope that helps,

Please disregard. I didn't have my camera "on" to test it out. Yes, it works automatically.

Thanks!
