full screen playback

by falcon999 » Sun Apr 06, 2014 1:40 pm

I have upgraded to the new version of sighthound, hmm looks very very similar to a vitamin I am somewhat deficient in, but seems to be less resource intensive or I am on a faster computer, maybe both.

I am use blueiris on another system and I do enjoy SH motion detection, but i'm old, can you make it to where playback in the app can be full screen or at least scalable. Now that I'm on a monitor at 1440p, the screen is not even a 1/4 of my screen and it's hard to see stuff.

most of my cameras are 700tvl, but I'm moving everything to ip cameras and most of the ones I have now are 3mp and I'm thinking of just getting 5mp for not a lot more money, so the resolution should be there.

ideas?

thanks

also ipad app would be cool.

Hi falcon999,

Sighthound Video is a continuation of Vitamin D Video, so it does look quite similar. There have been a very large number of changes, for a highlight of selected features/bugfixes added please see http://www.sighthound.com/support/release-notes.

With the advent of higher resolution cameras since the app was original written, I agree that in-app playback at higher than VGA resolution is a much needed feature. I'm happy to say that the next release of Sighthound Video will include this.

I, too, am interested in the ability to playback my live video feeds at full screen resolution as well as the ability to resize the feed as desired. Has this feature been implemented? I see it has been two months since this last posting but I have not been able to resize the video to my knowledge.

Thanks.

Sighthound Video 2.2 will include arbitrarily resizeable playback in the search view. We're nearing completion of that release and it will hopefully be out relatively shortly.

Any possibility of getting resizable live view? At least a full screen mode for when the kids are out at the pool or in the backyard and you want to keep that particular camera on full screen?

I have to +1 for fullscreen in Live View. I can't understand why this is not a basic feature. Is this is a CCTV software?

from that link, seems like the pace of updates has slowed dramatically in 2014 vs. 2013.

Adjustable screen in 'camera view' (live view) now available with latest update. Good work Ryan! Thanks
