I would love for the sighthound app to be able to enable/disable cameras based upon the location of my phone. I'm only really interested in having the cameras inside my house give motion alerts when I am not in the house, so if my phone is, say, within 1/4 mile of the house, then I would like the app to disable those cameras. For all the non-single people out there, myself included, I'd preferably like it to disable the cameras if any phone is near the house (and enable the cameras if all of them are away).
Clicking on alert notification when I come home, and disabling cameras from there, works fairly well for me ... but where I would really like this for the enabling-on-exit functionality. I often forget to re-enable the cameras when I leave the house, which isn't good.
Implementation notes/ideas:
iOS Core Location gives some API hooks to accomplish this fairly simply, and I'm sure Android has something similar. If you'd like to see a good implementation of a 2+ geofence app, I'd recommend looking at Skylark for the Nest thermostat on iOS. Many apps can trigger on one phone (Hue, IFTTT, etc), but that is one of the few multi-phone implementations I like (and use).
