Blurry Timestamp on Exported Videos

by dalaubon » Mon Mar 24, 2014 3:04 pm

Hi,

I'm using the free version to evaluate before purchasing. I noticed that the timestamp is legible when I'm viewing the live feed. However when I export the video, the timestamp is completely pixelated and unreadable. I have an approved camera from the list and everything else works as expected.

Is the timestamp legibility related to the selected recording resolution?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Dalaubon,

We're not aware of any issues with timestamps and export. Certainly the 320x240 resolution of the clips will have some impact, depending on what viewer you're using. Attached is a screenshot of video recorded at 320x240 being played back in the app at 640x480, overtop of which I am playing back the exported clip in Quicktime. Note that the timestamp in quicktime is "blurrier" due to the scaling algorithm it is using to upscale from 320x240 to 640x480.

Hope that helps,
- ryan
