Continuous recording

by midrik » Mon Mar 24, 2014 11:50 am

Hi,

Can I use your software to record from 3 cameras continuously? Im need to record a manufacturing process and monitor times it takes. So I dont want to record only movements... just everything.

Thanks.

Hi Midrik,

Sighthound Video does continually record video for the amount of time specified by the "Temporarily keep all video for up to:" setting in preferences. After that time period, segments of video that did not match rules with a "save" response will be deleted. Full details on video storage can be found here: http://www.sighthound.com/support/managing-your-video

To access the temporary video (full day recordings), please go to the search view and select a single camera. You will then see green areas in the timeline in addition to blue, the green represents video that is present but does not match the selected rule. You can navigate by clicking directly into the green region of the timeline, or using normal controls such as pressing play at the end of a clip to continue into the next clip or cache, or the next/prev frame or +/- 2 second controls. More details on the timeline and controls can be found here: http://www.sighthound.com/support/search-view

I'd encourage you to download and try the software with one of your cameras to get a feel for it. Without activating a license the software is limited to 1 camera, saving at 320x240, and restricts use of a few rule responses.
