USB cam over network?

USB cam over network?
I don't want to get another IP camera yet, so would I be able to access the usb camera of a networked computer? Sorry if that's already been asked/answered, I didn't find it on the search I did.

Hi Ron,
You should be able to use VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html) to capture and rebroadcast a webcam, though I have not tried it myself and it might not be "one click" to set up. I know several people have reported using a piece of software called WebcamXP to do this as well, though that is a windows only option and I believe it is non-free.
