Hiya JPElectron,

I have not tried connecting to these cameras, and cannot claim whether they would work or not, but the manual does specify URLS to access from third party software -

rtsp - /mjpeg, /mpeg4, /h264
http - /:8008

Given that are a number of stream types and protocols I would imagine one of those methods would work with VDV. But again, I have not tried, so no guarantees.

Just FYI, I found those in the following manual, which I believe is the same camera but might not be:

Thanks Ryan, I emailed the company and here was their response...

Thank you for contacting customer support.
Yes, our cameras do work with Vitamin D software. The streams for the camera are:
rtsp://<ip addr>/h264
rtsp://<ip addr>/h264_2
rtsp://<ip addr>/mjpeg
Please note that Vitamin D does not support the camera’s native resolution at 2MP, and will turn the camera stream down. In addition, if you are using the Vitamin D software, you will not be able to connect using an AvertX recorder. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
"

...I'll be giving this a try in a few weeks.

Great! Sounds like they might have tested with VDV already so that's a good sign. Let me know how the cameras work and I'll be happy to add these to the preconfigured setup list in a future version.

Just an FYI - I've got these cameras working with Vitamin D no problem!

In the web-based GUI for the camera you can set the stream "h264 " to the resolution matching what you're going to set Vitamin D to record it at.

Thanks! Just to clarify, I'm guessing that you used the /h264 path? I'll add this as the default in the next release.

Yep, actually the camera supports up to 4 different "profiles"

rtsp://<ip addr>/h264
rtsp://<ip addr>/h264_2
rtsp://<ip addr>/h264_3 ...and /h264_4

...in my installation I just set the 1st one to match the resolution I'm recording at in VDV. But, next time I think I'll choose to leave the first one at the full 2MP resolution (for users that "watch" the camera by visiting it's IP directly in a browser) and then make the second one match the VDV resolution. So, I would appreciate if you had all 4 as default URL options.

can't get them to work.

by hola@colchonia » Fri Jun 17, 2016 12:22 am

Can some one help me? I try logging through DVR and it doesn't work at all with proper user and pass. I have tried logging directly into each camera. The software takes all the info but it can't seem to connect. It doesn't say that it can't connect.. says connecting and stays thinking but it doesn't say that it can't connect like with the DVR.

I am sorry but I don't understand the RSTP or the h264 for that matter. Each field requires numbers in them. I can't get this to work and I really need to. The avertx software makes it impossible to scan through footage. I like the system but I hate that part of it.

Thanks to all if you can help me. I am really frustrated. J
