Sighthound Crashing, any way to automatically restart?

I have Sighthound 3.0.1 (build 15986) running on OS X Yosemite (10.10.5) on a Late 2014 Mac mini (2.6 Ghz i5, 8GB ram), monitoring 10 Foscam IP cameras - five I9805E units and five C1s. Recently, over the last month or so since upgrading to 3.0 and adding the lastest 2-3 cameras, I'm seeing it crash...

Re: Camera picture Glitches

I wanted to follow up on this thread as I had previously posted about experiencing these streaks in the video which triggered false positives. In the end, it seems for me it was related to the machine I was running Sighthound on, and its lack of CPU power or memory. I previously had it running on an...

Re: Apple Watch?

I have Sighthound send an email to my AT&T text message email address, which is great because I can then get notifications on my Apple Watch and include an image from the camera. What would make this even better would be if there were a way to configure the email strings that Sighthound uses whe...

Re: IFTTT Integration

I've been playing with the IFTTT integration - thanks for adding the feature! So far I've found it to be quite responsive, and quicker to send a notification (via the IF iOS app) than my previous solution which has been to send an email from Sighthound to my SMS address which seems to take an extra ...

Re: Camera picture Glitches

Here's some instructions on Foscam's forum: http://foscam.us/forum/how-to-fetch-snapshots-and-mjpeg-stream-on-hd-cameras-t4328.html From what I recall when I experimented with this in the past, setting the streams to MJPEG limit your output options to VGA (640x480) or QVGA (320x240) but I could be (...

Re: false positives on shadows

Thanks for your thoughts Ryan. Good to hear you're working on improvements for shadows! Per some suggestions you mentioned in the past on these forums, I did discover the non-rectangular shapes and I'm using them on some of my other cameras already. Unfortunately in my situation the shadows in the d...

Re: false positives on shadows

Plus, I enjoy being able to capture moments like this one from this morning! (although I think Sighthound did think this was a "person"!). :D

Re: Camera picture Glitches

@ryan Thanks for the update, and for locating a 9805W to test with! When you use the Foscam plugin in Safari, are you seeing any of the same artifacts? I don't seem to get any of them when viewing that way, which makes me think they're doing something non-standard with the stream but are able to ren...

Re: false positives on shadows

Thanks Devin - yes, I've tried changing that to "People" but then it doesn't pick up vehicles which just as important (if not more so) for me. I wish there was a way to "look for:" vehicles and people! I've tried adjusting the brightness and contrast but haven't had a bright sunn...

false positives on shadows

On sunny days, I tend to get a barrage of false positives triggered by shadows with the settings I am using. Below are the settings I have and an example of what triggers it. I'm afraid to make the the exclusion of regions larger than 60 pixels (and it only goes to 70) as that's about the size of a ...
