LPR camera with IR night mode

No matter how I configure the rules as soon as the LPR camera goes into night mode nothing is recorded. Using my NVR I can recover license plates and the images are perfectly readable so I know the camera stream is working properly. After purchasing the software I discovered there is an issue with IR images but no where can I find any information on progress with this very important use case. Daylight capture is perfect.
