I have a old security camera that is mounted high on a tower that still works fine but it transmits the signal to its own box that only has analog composite video and audio. So I bought the Grass Valley ADVC-55 that can convert those signals into the FireWire protocol that is used for DV cameras. My Mac can recognize the camera, iMovie and QuickTime player work fine with it, but Sighthound doesn't see it. It shows up as a "Canopus ADVC-55" camera in iMovie.
Is there something I can do to get SightHound to recognize this video source? I'll even buy the basic version since that will be cheaper then replacing the camera and recabling the tower.
